Regenerative Model Farm Hub

Continuing our mission to advance regenerative agriculture in Southeast Asia, we are proud to announce our latest initiative to support rural communities and restore soil health in Malaysia. In a strategic partnership with reNature and local expert Dr. Patricia King, we will establish Malaysia's first comprehensive regenerative agriculture model farm and training hub.

From November 2025 to December 2026, Dr. Patricia King, a leading expert in the field, will guide the project, which includes a robust capacity-building program. The initiative is set to directly train 10 farmers initially, with a design to scale and impact over 300 farmers across the region. By establishing educational infrastructure for training and agrotourism, the project will raise consumer awareness and open new market opportunities, laying the groundwork for replicating this successful model across more than 100 hectares.

This project will strengthen an existing eight-hectare model farm in Perak and establish a new model farm in Sarawak. These hubs will serve as visible platforms for demonstrating diversified cropping systems, integrating long-term crops like Durian and Longan with short-term intercrops such as Banana, Papaya, and Soybean using proven regenerative methodologies.

Malaysia's agricultural landscape faces significant challenges, including widespread soil degradation and a lack of viable, demonstrable alternatives to conventional farming. With many farmers isolated from profitable markets, this project is a crucial step towards building economic resilience, bridging the knowledge gap in regenerative practices, and creating a scalable blueprint for a healthier food system.

This marks the fourth project exclusively funded by the 1% pledges from the Hyatt Hotels in Hong Kong, demonstrating how consistent, collective action fuels ecological and economic transformation.
