Biodiversity
Increase
CRS plots showed a 40% higher Shannon-Wiener biodiversity index than conventional plots.
Lowered
Cost
39% drop in input costs and a 12% drop in labor costs.
Cleaner
Water
By incorporating biochar and filtration crops, CRS paddies show significantly lower heavy metal levels than conventional plots, producing safer, cleaner rice.
Extra
Income
31% increase in profit by 4 rice cycles, generated through diversified revenue sources.
Comparable
Yield
After multiple CRS cycles, farmers attain higher and more consistent yields than those typically seen in conventional paddies.
SOC content increased from 2.05% to 2.58% after 4 cycles of CRS.
