Finally feeling the cool breeze of autumn and the end of the typhoon craze in Hong Kong, farmers are quickly recovering from the disasters and sowing winter crops. Fortunately, the strongest typhoon of the year did not damage Sangwoodgoon too much - a just return for taking care of nature and our land. Farmer Sze Chung is currently preparing compost, treating winter seeds with bio-inoculants and trace minerals, and mulching his farm, fully prepared to tackle any challenges that come his way.
Through the significant improvement and progress he has seen in the past 2 years, he is confident in his regenerative operation and is slowly expanding his farm, tending more plots with love and care. How exciting!

Okra is farmer Sze Chung’s star crop for the summer season. He planted fewer rows of okra this year but still achieved more yield than before. Apart from extended harvest periods, his okra crops also branched out more and produced healthy fruits - said like the proud dad he is.

These water spinach acted as cover crops and protected the farm during the typhoon, yet still managed to stand tall and sturdy after the storm. They now act as living roots to protect the soil before being replaced with winter crops.
